UGL was appointed as the facilities manager for Aspire Zone Sports City in 2007. The scheme includes the following:

Scope of Services
 
  • Testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment for newly installed equipment
 
  • Building management, including monitoring of critical infrastructure, operations and maintenance across a diverse range of facilities namely hospital, commercial, sports stadia, dormitory and educational institutions
 
  • Administration of term contracts across a diverse range of soft and technical services (i.e. controls, fire, cleaning, landscaping/turf, HVAC, mechanical, electrical building and civil, etc). This includes performance management, management of insurance / contract / performance bond currency
 
  • Fire safety management and ensuring compliance with the fire safety requirements in the fire emergency plan
 
  • Budget management (keeping proper records & accounts of all expenditure for the management and maintenance of the property and service disciplines). Preparation of lessee charges on behalf of the lessor (Aspire Zone Foundation)
 
  • Management of facilities and customer/supply chain relationship through our in-house developed integrated management system; Total Asset Manager (TAM)
 
  • Engineering services such as root cause analysis, condition monitoring
 
  • Energy management
 
  • Safety management for over 700 staff in any one day
 
  • Secondment staff to our client as part of our working relationship
 
  • Project management to include major works of up to QR 33 million
 
  • Training and development
 
  • Event management and support
 
  • Stores management, warehousing and procurement
 
  • Contracts management namely issuance of, tender evaluations and contract awarding
